If you haven’t yet, please consider making a donation TODAY! One in six Hawaiʻi residents is food insecure, including one in four keiki. Hawaiʻi currently has the second highest rate of child food insecurity in the U.S.

The most needed items are:

  • Montary donations
    • Online (preferred). See instructions for giving online. Please designate Kapiʻolani CC when you give.
    • For cash or check donations (checks payable to Hawaiʻi Foodbank), please submit to Lyanne Wong or Annie Thomas, Lama 108.
  • Food donations (Drop-off in Lama Library. Donations boxes are located on the 1st floor (1. Just past the security gate, under the digital sign or 2. Near the Reference Desk). Most needed items are:
    • Canned proteins (like tuna, chicken, other lean meats)
    • Canned meals (like soup, stew, chili and pasta)
    • Canned fruits and vegetables
    • Bags of rice (in five to ten pound bags).

In 2022, Kapiʻolani CC gave $4,370 in financial support and 361 pounds of food. Let’s beat that this year!!
