So far, 93% of the survey responses have been from campuses other than KapCC — KapCC folks, represent! Make sure your voice is heard.
The UHCC Gen Ed Inquiry Team is working on creating a definition of General Education that can be adopted across all UHCC campuses. The goal is to make the definition simple, clear, and student-friendly. The current draft definition was crafted based on previous survey input from administrators, faculty, lecturers, staff, and students from all seven campuses, totaling over 200 responses / 12,000 words. Here’s what the Team, with a little help from ChatGPT, came up with:
The goal of General Education is to create well-rounded individuals who are equipped to navigate a complex and diverse world, with skills and knowledge that extend beyond their chosen majors.
