You are invited to join us for a 30-minute Zoom talk–“Fighting the Unseen Enemy”–this morning (Thursday, 3/14) at 10:45am, brought to you by Faculty Senate Sustainability Committee. Dr. Obadia Kenji, Manager and Supervisor of the Stanford Health Care Clinical Virology Laboratory (SHCCVL), will share his journey through the COVID-19 pandemic. SHCCVL Researchers developed one of the first tests for COVID-19 status to receive FDA emergency use authorization for clinical testing in the United States.

Dr. Kenji is a board-certified High-Complexity Medical Laboratory Director with 15 years of laboratory experience, has worked as Medical Director and consultant for several institutions, including Stanford Medicine, World Health Organization (WHO) Geneva, and Illumina. He has worked extensively on developing, validating and implementing novel laboratory diagnostic assays globally. Dr. Kenji recently served as co-lead for the WHO’s international laboratory working group on surveillance of respiratory viruses with pandemic potential.
