How can we have compassion in the workplace, and still get the job done? Does compassion even matter? Will compassion make us vulnerable to being embarrassed, taken advantage of, or drained by the people we work with? Or does it offer new opportunities to change culture, solve problems, and show up authentically as colleagues and leaders? In this workshop, we will explore these questions and more, through scenarios and small group talkstory. We’ll also share data from studies in neuroscience to help attendees see how compassion can help empower us in our work, and brainstorm where it can benefit our workplace and campus.
Today April 3, 3:30-4:30pm, in Lama Library 207A. Presented by Ho’oulu Hou members Maiana Minahal and Nadine Wolff.
