Aloha Kapi’olani CC Students,

Are you interested in a Study Abroad program to Japan emphasizing business? If so, this program may be for you! All participants must be able to enter Japan with a tourist visa or a short-stay visa. Courses are held in English.

  • Program Dates: July 29 – Aug. 6, 2024
  • Max Number of Participants: 2 students from Kapi’olaniCC
  • Eligibility Requirements: 1) Kapi’olani CC Home Campus student; 2) Minimum of 2.0 Cumulative GPA; 3) Minimum of 18 years of age at the time of application; 4) full-time or part-time, undergraduate student pursuing an associate’s degree or certificate of achievement enrolled in the Spring 2024 semester at Kapi’olani CC 5) possess an active passport valid through 12/31/2024

Specifics:

  • Applications from students who have previously participated in the CUC Summer Program will not be considered.
  • CUC requires a minimum of 16 students from all partner institutions to participate for the program to run. If this threshold is not achieved, the program will be canceled.
  • CUC will cover all lectures, activities, accommodation, and meals (except on weekends)
  • To be paid by the participants: 1) Airfare, non-program meals, and free time activities, 2) Travel insurance, round-trip transportation from airport to accommodation. (*If the program is canceled, the participants are responsible for airline ticket cancellation fees, etc.)
  • Accommodation: Participants will be accommodated in the CUC dormitory on campus, experiencing the Japanese lifestyle. The dormitory has one large room and several small rooms on the women’s floor and the men’s floor, respectively. They are Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats on the floor. Participants will be sleeping on futon mattresses on the tatami-mat floor. Approximately 10 participants will share the large room.・There are two Japanese-style communal baths, one for women and one for men, on separate floors. Participants are expected to take a bath together with other participants. Individual shower booths are also available.* For more details, please see the following page.   • Pick-up / Check-in and Check-out date: Participants must be at the meeting point at Narita Airport on July 29 at 14:00 JST. If arriving at Narita Airport after 14:00or at Haneda Airport, participants must come to CUC on their own by 16:00. Participants may check into the the accommodation on July 29after 16:00. If coming to Japan before the check-in date and time, participants are asked to book their own hotel.・Check-out is on August 7at 10am.
