KCC students, faculty, and staff are invited to practice sessions to learn and experience the oli komo (entrance chant) Kū Ka ʻAlā, composed by Nāwaʻa Napoleon, performed as a hula pahu. This oli celebrates the fisheries of Kona, in the moku where KCC resides, and offers everyone an opportunity to connect through chant, dance, and Hawaiian protocol.
Practice Schedule
- (Weekly) Tuesdays | 2:00 PM, beginning on 2/4/25
- (Every other) Fridays | 12:00 PM, beginning on 2/7/25
Practices are open to all who wish to deepen their understanding of Hawaiian culture. Come and immerse yourself in this meaningful experience! We hope to see you there!
