Welcome back to school!

It’s the start of the Spring 2025 semester and nominations are open for the Board of Regents Excellence in Teaching Award!  I am certain you have met a faculty member who has had a tremendous positive impact on you, whether the person is a teacher, counselor, librarian, etc. You have the opportunity to recognize that faculty by nominating that person for the 2024-2025 Board of Regents (BOR) Excellence in Teaching Award.

Nominations will close on January 31, 2025. Please note that to be considered for the award, the faculty member must receive at least three nominations from a current student, faculty or staff and cannot be a past awardee.

Nominations for the 2024-2025 Frances Davis Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching are also open! Candidates must be full-time or part-time faculty or lecturers in good standing. Each nomination should be submitted with statements from at least three people including one student and one faculty colleague. The candidate should demonstrate a record of dedication to teaching, excellence in the design and instruction of lower division or interdisciplinary undergraduate courses, and service to undergraduate students.
