The Native Hawaiian Plant Advisory Committee (NHPAC) thanks everyone who participated in the fall semester’s Mālama Kapi’olani on Oct. 8. Participants cleared the grasses below ‘Ōlapa building so that the Kou trees can flourish. Later, they toured Māla Māunuunu and learned about its native and Polynesian-introduced trees and plants.
This event is just one example of campus green spaces being used to support class, program or institutional goals or outcomes.
The NHPAC would like to know how YOU use the green spaces on campus to support your or your unit’s goals or outcomes. Please take our Importance of Campus Landscapes Survey by November 18, 2022.
Survey results will be integrated into Kapi’olani’s Landscaping Plan, which will guide the management of campus green spaces.
Thank you!
