Please join us for our second Letʻs Talk About Our Students event of the Fall ʻ24 semester: “Mid-term Madness“, on Friday, October 11, from 1:00-2:00 pm in ‘Iliahi 106. We will share with each other our experiences from working with our current KCC students, those post-pandemic students who have had interrupted learning from high school to college and who have had their careers and lives interrupted by the pandemic, and who bring with them many new needs and unique challenges. During this session, the focus will be issues that our students are having around the mid-term. RSVP so we can plan for refreshments.
As our contribution to Kapi‘olaniʻs Strategic Plan Implementation Plan, the Faculty Senateʻs plan is aligned to the alahele of Thriving and Sustainable Campus Culture and the pahuhopu to Create a Vibrant Work Environment. The goal of this series of three events throughout the fall ʻ24 semester is for instructional and counseling faculty to come together and share with each other what we see in our students’ experiences and collaborate for student success. During the spring ʻ25 semester, we will form a faculty work group to develop recommendations based on our talk-story sessions and follow-up faculty surveys. We hope to make this an annual event.
Please RSVP so we can plan for refreshments. We hope to see you at our second Letʻs Talk event!
