Just a friendly reminder to those prepping Summer I classes that the UH ITS Help Desk is your point of contact for technical support for all UH software, including Lamakū, Google, My UH, etc. The Help Desk is staffed in shifts around the clock – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year…that includes all of Memorial Day weekend!
Depending on where you’re at in the process of prepping your course(s) and your approach, here are some resources that might be helpful…
Prepping Your Sandbox
- Request a new sandbox (faculty can have up to 5 total)
- Delete all of the contents from a sandbox so you can reuse it to build a new course
Adding Content to the Sandbox
- Request migration of Laulima content to Lamakū (must be the instructor of record for a CRN in Banner for the semester you’re requesting)
- Copy the course content from one Lamakū site to another – text/screenshot instructions or video tutorial
- Tutorials for using the Kapiʻolani Course Framework are embedded in the course framework site (sign up here for access) – there is a new streamlined course framework that is especially handy for summer courses (demo here and in the Course Framework site)
Structuring Your Course Site for Summer
Once you have prepped your sandbox and are ready to copy content into a live site, you can use the text/screenshot instructions or video tutorial to copy the content to your live course site.
As always, please don’t hesitate to contact the UH ITS Help Desk for technical support 24/7/365 for Lamakū or any other UH software (Google, Zoom, My UH, etc.) Wishing you a happy holiday weekend and a fantastic start to the summer! ☀️
