Last fall, Chancellor Misaki Takabayashi and Vice Chancellor Nāwa‘a Napoleon helped weed the planter near ‘Ōhiʻa and the rain garden behind ʻIlima. They joined more than 30 members of the campus community at Mālama Kapiʻolani, the semesterly event to care for the green spaces at the College. Look at them having a good time!
The Native Hawaiian Plant Advisory Committee invites you to the 8th Mālama Kapiʻolani on Saturday, March 2, 8 a.m.-noon. Participants will weed, trim, and mulch in the campus botanical gardens, such as Māla Māunuunu and the Native Hawaiian Plant Garden. Snacks will be provided, and the event will culminate with an educational tour and a tree planting. Bring your class or department! Sign up on this Google form [new window].
