Aloha KCC Students & Faculty,

Interested in going to Ireland this summer? Contact Shawn Yacavone at yacavone@hawaii.edu for more information.

The Paul S. Honda International Center at KCC is currently working through the logistics of a short term program to Ireland this Summer 2023 from (tentative) June 05 – June 16. The cost is $2,100 (tentative) for the program and does not include flight costs. Flight expenses will be a separate cost and at the moment air tickets run around $1,200-$1,500. Please do not make any sort of flight arrangements at this time. This information is simply to give you an idea of the program and the overall costs but these can change. If you email me for a draft schedule I will be happy to provide that for you as well.

Students:
KCC is also looking to provide students with scholarship opportunities to offset the cost as well so if you are interested in learning more about the Queen Kapi’olani International Travel Fund and the Paul S. Honda International Scholarship, please feel free to reach out to me at yacavone@hawaii.edu.

Faculty:
If you are interested in internationalizing your curriculum, learning about Irish culture, or simply looking for opportunities for professional development – this short term abroad program to Ireland is a wonderful step in that direction. Please also check with your department chair regarding faculty development funds or other fund sources that may be applicable toward the cost of your trip. Priority for slots will be given to students since there is a cap of 8 spaces available.
