Aloha kākou,

We invite you to join us for Moanaliha, Kapiʻolani’s cultural protocol rooted in oli, mele, and hula. In the coming week, we will be offering Moanaliha at the following events:

  • Spring 2025 Commencement – Friday, May 16 at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM at Diamond Head Theatre

These moments offer us an opportunity to stand together in protocol, presence, and aloha, grounded in ʻike Hawaiʻi.

We will be offering the following oli and mele:

  • Oli Holo
  • Kū Ka ʻAlā (hula noho)
  • Hoaka Ka Lani

To prepare, we welcome you to join us for practice sessions at the Mānele/Manono Breezeway:

  • Wednesday, May 14 – 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Commencement Walk-thrus at Diamond Head Theatre:

  • Thursday, May 15 – 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM
  • Friday, May 16 – 11:00 AM (final)

All are welcome—we encourage you to join us, and if you plan to participate in any of the events, please attend the practice sessions so everyone is aligned with the plan, especially for Commencement.

Mahalo nui for your continued support.
