CAMPUS TOURS NEED YOUR HELP!

We have two LARGE campus tours coming up in Spring 2024. On February 16th Friday, 300 students from Kalākaua Middle will be visiting us and on March 1st, 340 students from Kaimukī Middle will be visiting us as well.

We truly need more presenters for both days. Click HERE to view the draft schedule for Kalākaua Middle and click HERE for Kaimukī Middle. Please click HERE if you are interested and are able to be a site presenter. The topic doesn’t have to be program specific but something out of the box that engages youth. Some examples of past years included creative writing, net throwing, and touring the Māla. These sessions didn’t talk about college directly but youth saw all the friendly faces and positive energy that reshaped how they define college. One of the middle school counselors shared their recent challenge is getting their middle school students to see the relevance of attending high school. Basically, these youth need to see the big picture on why education is so important.

Students from Kalākaua Middle typically go to Farrington High School and students Kaimukī Middle typically go to Kalani HS – both MAJOR feeder high schools to Kapiʻolani Community College.
