Friday from 9:00 am – Noon is the last Expand Your Horizon: Career Day event, where we open our campus and invite all of our students to explore the variety of programs available at KCC.
We plan to have between 500 and 700 high schoolers on our campus from Ānuenue, Campbell, Damien, Farrington, Kaiser, Kalani, Nānākuli, Radford, Wai’anae, and Waialua. Counselors, administrators, and CTE leads will also join us from schools such as La Pietra, Punahou, Leilehua, Kamehameha Schools, and Adult Education, to name a few.
This will be a self guided event, with volunteers assisting our guests and KCC students to visit programs around the center of campus and at the Lama Library. (see map below)
Please encourage your students to also participate! They can enjoy the Koa Art Gallery, meet students and faculty from health sciences programs in Kauila, see Math & Science and STEM demos in Kōki’o, learn about Culinary Arts at 220 Grille in ‘Ōhia, and talk with representatives from Liberal Arts, New Media Arts, Business, Accounting, IT, Paralegal, Entrepreneurship, Nursing, Hospitality & Tourism, Second Language Teaching, the First Year Experience, Honda International Center, and attend a lifestyles career workshop with the Employment Prep Center in Lama!
