Modern Approaches to New Application Opportunities

Empowering learners means embracing change. The MANA‘O Institute, a Title III-funded collaboration between Chaminade University of Honolulu and Kapi‘olani Community College, will convene 30 educators from both institutions to explore how emerging technologies and essential workforce skills can empower our students to succeed in an ever-evolving world. We invite faculty, staff, and administrators to submit session proposals that focus on blending classroom learning with real-world applications to prepare students for the modern workforce in Hawai‘i and beyond.

Location: Hybrid (Chaminade University & Virtual)

Session Formats & Topics
Topics of interest include:

  • Integrating AI into Curriculum
  • Ethical Considerations in AI
  • Soft Skills for the Modern Workforce

We welcome session proposals from faculty, staff, and administrators for 30- or 50-minute sessions in the format of your choice. For example, you might propose a

  • Workshop – Engage participants in hands-on learning
  • Roundtable – Facilitate a discussion with participants 
  • Panel  – Collaborate with students, colleagues, and/or industry professionals in a panel discussion
  • Presentation – Share research, best practices, or innovative strategies

SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL by March 16, 2025
