Aloha,
Hurricanes Helene and Milton are somber reminders of the devastating power of nature. As part of the new nationwide Blood Emergency Readiness Corps (BERC), the Blood Bank of Hawaii is joining forces with blood centers across the country to send blood to Florida, where communities are in urgent need. Many local blood centers there have been forced to close, and support from areas like ours will be critical for weeks ahead.
To meet this demand while still supporting patients here at home, we need your help. Can we count on you to step up and donate at Kapiolani Community College’s blood drive?

Your donation will ensure that Hawaii’s patients continue receiving the care they need and help us send lifesaving blood to Florida. BERC was created for emergencies like this—so blood centers can rely on each other during disasters. When it’s our turn to face a crisis, we know Hawaii’s patients will receive the same support.
Here’s how you can prepare:
•Hydrate and eat a solid meal before donating.
•Bring a valid photo ID.
•Invite a friend to donate with you — new donors make a huge impact!
Please sign up to donate and help spread the word. This situation won’t be resolved overnight, and our communities need us to rise to the challenge. Your one act of kindness can save up to three lives—and right now, it’s needed more than ever.

Mahalo for making a difference in Hawaii and beyond!
