The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges has just released its latest version of the 2024 Accreditation Standards. Please visit their standards review website to examine and leave comments on the new standards. They are hoping that the UH Community Colleges will provide feedback to ensure that Hawaiʻi and Pacific island perspectives are included.

A public community review is scheduled in Honolulu this Friday October 28, but it conflicts with the collegeʻs on-site training with ACCJC from noon to 4pm in Kaʻikena. See the standards review website for more information on the public meeting.

“ACCJC reviews (and if needed, revises) its Accreditation Standards every 10 years, in accordance with policy. The review and revision of the 2014 Accreditation Standards is a continuation of ACCJC’s ongoing efforts to advance equitable student success and educational excellence. The Standards Review is also consistent with ACCJC’s core goal of supporting the ongoing learning, improvement, and innovation of its member institutions as they pursue their unique institutional missions, visions and cultures.”
