Message from the chancellor
The pandemic dashed our plans for celebrating the College’s 75th Anniversary in 2021 with a drone shot of faculty and staff. It also prevented us from making good on plans for a time capsule.
We are realizing those plans now!
All faculty and staff are invited to gather on Makahiapo (the Great lawn) from 4:15-5:00pm on Wednesday, November 16, to record a moment in the history of the College, a Kodak moment (here’s a definition for those who are too young to remember Kodak advertising). Supervisors, please consider allowing employees to leave at 4:15 if they elect to be in the photo. The photograph will be taken from land on Ka Pānānā Hōkū (Star Compass). Please gather near the grassy area near Ka Pānānā Hōkū.
The photo will be printed, and participants will be asked to autograph the photo. We will include this photo in a stainless steel time capsule. Further details about the time capsule are forthcoming.
