🌊Student Volunteers Needed at Fall 2023 SURF!

Do you have students needing volunteer opportunities? Please forward this call!

📣Need service hours for a scholarship, or want to boost your resume? Get valuable experience as a volunteer for Kapiʻolani Community College’s Student Undergraduate Research Fair (SURF), happening December 5-7. December 5-6 will be on Google Meet and December 7 will be in person at the Lama Library, 2nd floor.

Sign up to volunteer by Friday, November 10. Make sure that you know whether you are signing up to volunteer online or in person.

Volunteers will be sent instructions and are expected to attend an hour-long training session. The student SURF Volunteer training session is scheduled on Google Meet for Friday, November 17 from 1-2 p.m. on Google Meet.

Online volunteers will help us facilitate each virtual “booth” by making sure that both the student presenters and the attendees feel comfortable with the technology, helping to connect everyone to the proper resources, and creating a comfortable environment to make this event accessible for all of our students. If you are volunteering on Wednesday, you will help with set-up, breakdown, and general event help.
