KapCC students are investigating COVID-19, cancer cells, Marburg virus disease, and how technology can screen antibodies to target specific diseases as part of the IDeA Networks of Biomedical Research Excellence (INBRE) program. The program is funded by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and aims to encourage undergraduate students to pursue a biomedical science career through research opportunities, mentoring workshops, and workforce development in order to improve the health and well-being of the state of Hawai’i.
Students from Microbiology 240 will also present their semester research on forensic technology, antibody detection, and more!
