2022-2023 BOR Excellence in Teaching Award Finalists
The Board of Regents Excellence in Teaching Award (BOR ETA) recipient is selected from nominations that come primarily from the students. This year, 49 amazing educators were nominated by their students and peers, and three finalists emerged. They are Tiffany-Joy Kawaguchi (Occupational Therapy Assistant, Health Sciences), Amy Shiroma (Visitor Industry, Hospitality & Tourism), and Robin Zachary (Nursing).
The BOR ETA honors educators, whether instructional or non-instructional (teacher, counselor, librarian, media specialist, and other faculty members who engage with students or support their learning), for their excellence in subject mastery, teaching effectiveness, creativity, and academic and student support.
