As we near Filipino American History Month, and as part of KCC A&S Hoāoulu Houās mission to support faculty and staff wellness: please join us for a healing event on Fri Sept 27, 10-11:30am in Lama 207A (Resilience Room), led by Dr. Karen Villanueva, Executive Director of Kilusan Wellness.
Dr. Karen Villanueva is honored to share teachings about indigenous Filipinx healing as well as provide accessible and powerful acupressure practices so attendees can get relief from stress to feel more resourced and centered. Villanueva is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine, a Registered Nurse, and a practitioner of Filipinx indigenous knowledge and practices. She is a queer generation 1.5 immigrant with over 25 years of experience as a healer and healthcare practitioner. (*Note that acupuncture will not be offered at this event.)
