Lamakū!
The votes are in, and a new name for our new Learning Management System (LMS) has been selected with 47.6% of the 1,409 votes that were cast.

The literal translation of lamakÅ« in English is torch, similar to the torch that appears in the UH logo. Metaphorically, lamakÅ« refers to education or enlightenment, lamakÅ« o ka naŹ»auao, which also works well with the name of the software – Brightspace.
