The 2023 Hawai‘i Student Success Institute is scheduled for Friday, March 3, 2023, at the Hawai‘i Convention Center and is open to administrators, faculty, and staff from all areas of the University of Hawai’i Community Colleges. This year’s theme, Shared Purpose in a Post-Pandemic World, acknowledges the need to reset our purpose and look toward the future. Workshop strands include:
- Building a Caring Community;
- Career Readiness and Workforce;
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion;
- Engaging Students in the Curriculum;
- Hawaiian Culture and Values;
- Innovative and Emerging Technologies;
- Learning Outcomes Assessment;
- Online Learning;
- Supporting Students;
- Taking Care of You;
- Using Data to Inform Practice.
Please consider submitting your proposal(s) before December 9, Friday, by 4:30 PM.
- The presentation will be 50 minutes. Extended sessions can be accommodated by requesting two back-to-back sessions (total 1 hour, 50 minutes). Total time includes a question and answer period.
- Presenters should anticipate an audience size of about 40 participants.
- Consider including interactive components, audience participation, and/or Q&A portions in your workshop. Sessions are encouraged to be engaging and not just information-sharing.
- All presenters must be registered for the 2023 Hawai’i Student Success Institute.
- Proposals will be reviewed and presenters will be notified of the selection and assigned time slots via email by Friday, January 20, 2023.
