Della Taraoka, Interim Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, will be convening a UHCC Systemwide Online Committee beginning in January 2023, and Kapi‘olani CC is in need of two faculty representatives for this important endeavor.
Here are the pertinent details:
- Charge: This committee will be tasked with reviewing the feedback received on the proposed UHCC Proposed Online Framework that was presented and shared UHCC System-wide last spring and integrating it with the UH and UHCC Strategic Plans.
- Commitment: This committee will convene during Spring 2023 and likely through the following academic year. Monthly meetings will begin in January, though meetings may be held bi-weekly once the strategic plan is completed.
- Representation/Makeup: The committee will include three representatives from each UHCC campus. Our campus will have two faculty and one student representative.

If more than two faculty volunteer to serve, a ballot will be generated from the information provided and shared with the Faculty Senate DE Committee’s voting members to select an individual by 5pm on Friday, Dec 16. You do not need to be a member of the FS DE Committee to volunteer, but you must be a faculty member.
