November 5th is World Tsunami Awareness Day
For 2023,Ā World Tsunami Awareness DayĀ is promoting Target (g) of the “Sendai Seven Campaign” which calls forĀ Substantially increasing the availability of and access to multi-hazard early warning systems and disaster risk information and assessments to the people by 2030.
For 2024 the theme is theme is “Fighting Inequality for a Resilient Future,” which mirrors the subject highlighted during theĀ International Day for Disaster Reduction, October 13. The observance encourages all sectors of society to engage and collaborate on disaster risk reduction.
