Today, our KapCC students will be sharing the following (sessions are an hour unless marked):
- 🏄🏽 Surf’s up, but do you know what makes or breaks a totally rad surf break? Find out @ 10 am along with a presentation on supermassive black holes!
- 💧 How does the water quality of the Sumida Farm’s Kalauao Spring affect the watercress we eat? @ 3 pm
- 💕 Constantly swiping left? Learn more about dating apps @ 11 am and 2 pm
- ⛵ Learn about the relationship between colonization on the gentrification of Kuloloia @ 3 pm
- 🍄 What’s better than one fun guy? Two guys looking for fungi in Hawai’i (@ 11 am)
- 🤖 Robots are taking over KapCC… or are they? Find out about two types of robots that are being used to get students engaged with STEM @ 3 pm (Robot doing a disco dance)
All through SURF:
- 🌪️What can we do to help prevent or mitigate damage caused by coastal erosion, earthquakes, and tornados? Presentations from an Ocean, Earth, Sciences, & Technology class, OEST 101
- 🌄What do electric circuits and ahupuaʻa have to do with each other? (look for engineering)
- 🎵 We have virtual presentations about music in world cultures on our website!
