Pop in for 15 minutes to check out a student’s presentation and see what research opportunities are available at KapCC. SURF is a casual space for faculty, staff, and students to share ideas and learn from each other. Come for free food and a chance for prizes courtesy of the Board of Student Publications (BOSP). We are also featuring a TON of free clothes!

  • Drones are being built to monitor our neighboring coastlines to mitigate the effects of climate change from 10 am to 2 pm.
  • KÅ«lia Indigenous Scholars students are learning about healthcare racism, cultivating food waste into nutrients, queering ʻŌlelo HawaiÊ»i, helping HawaiÊ»i achieve its renewable energy goals at 11 am.
  • ROBOTS at 12 pm!!!!
  • CERENE students build resilience in our local communities by restoring native grasslands, preserving generational knowledge, assessing food security, and looking at disease patterns at 12 pm and 3 pm.
  • Radford High School students are getting their Sustainability Certificate! Watch their presentations on diet practices, mental health, the influence of home environments on child development, and more @ 2 pm.
  • Did you know KapCC is home to TWO native birds, the Manu-o-KÅ« @ 3 pm and kolea at @11 am?
  • We’ve also got projects on microbiology, solar energy, creating ʻĀina-Based education in elementary schools, and more!
