The STEM Expo is not just for STEM majors! Organizations and programs will be sharing many amazing opportunities that are open to a variety of majors. Here are a few that can serve any student in your sustainability or service-learning course/program! Connect with organizations that have opportunities for you at the STEM Expo tomorrow Wednesday, October 19th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on Zoom:

  • 🌿 Kupu, PIPES, Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance, and Oʻahu Invasive Species have volunteer and internship opportunities for students who are interested in flora and fauna.
  • 🐟 Mālama Maunalua, Dept of Land and Natural Resources, NOAA, UH School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology, and UH Sea Grant are here for those interested in marine science and conservation.
  • 💧 Hawaiʻi Conservation Alliance has great scholarship and internship resources.
  • 🕊️ WAIHome and WAI  Wastewater Alternatives & Innovations are on hand to talk about green careers and internships in Hawaiʻi with work for all STEM pathways.

Although virtual events can feel overwhelming, don’t be intimidated! Start by visiting one booth that you are interested in, turn your camera on, and ask a question—it’s that simple. Our event volunteers will be there to guide you along the way!
