For classes beginning January 13, course sites in both Laulima and Lamakū will be auto-published (i.e., made accessible to students) on January 8, 2025 at 12:00am HST*.

*Update: ITS originally conveyed that this would be 3:00pm HST in error. Courses were published at midnight.

In Lamakū, publication of the course site is controlled centrally by ITS, though faculty may use Start (and End) Dates to determine when students can access modules and content or may choose to toggle content manually between “Visible” and “Hidden” states.

Use of Start Dates to Automate Access to Content
You can automate the release of content to students by setting a Start Date for modules and other content.

Start Dates.

Toggle Visibility Manually
You can manually toggle the visibility of modules and other content from Visible to Hidden.

Toggle.

In Laulima, faculty still have the ability to put the course site back into draft mode, but if this is the case, sites should be manually re-published no later than the first day of the term.
