The music students from MUS114 College Chorus class, MUS206 Synthesizer Ensemble, and selected MUS231C Applied Piano Students will be performing in concert on Saturday, May 4, from 7-9pm in Maile Theatre, Room 101, directed by Professor Anne Craig Lum. It is a variety of classical, contemporary, and popular music. The College Chorus will sing two rounds (one in Latin: Dona Nobis Pacem; the other in English: Mozart’s Alleluia), a Hawaiian selection called Nani Na Pua, and two selections from the musical “The Sound of Music” (with audience participation on one of these:) There will also be vocal soloists featured from the College Chorus class. In addition, two piano concertos will be featured: the famous Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto, as well as David Foster’s contemporary Concerto in G. Students from the MUS231C class will also share selected piano solos (some classical, others contemporary). There are guest performers as well: a vocal duo, and string players from Mililani Middle School. Please join us for this free concert!
