ALOHA E Institute.

Limited spots are remaining for the ALOHA E Institute this summer. This professional development opportunity takes place over five days and brings faculty together from Chaminade University and Kapi‘olani Community College. The institute will be held online August 7-11 and will include daily, synchronous Zoom sessions from 9-11am with an additional 1-2 hours of asynchronous work time most days.

As always, we have three exciting tracks on offer: Active Learning, Online Hui, and ‘Āina-based Education. These are the same three tracks and content that were offered last year so be sure to choose a different track if you have previously joined us for ALOHA E.

All faculty and lecturers are welcome to apply. The application will be open to Kapi‘olani and Chaminade faculty exclusively through May 1; if spaces remain available, the application will open to other UHCC campuses through the final application deadline of June 5. We will notify you of your acceptance and follow up with further details after the final application deadline.

Faculty who actively participate in all synchronous sessions (August 7-11, 9-11am) and complete the deliverables for their track of choice will receive a stipend of $750.

Please download the attached flyer for details and visit the ALOHA E Institute website for more info.
